In 1960, M.Abdelaziz Tazi created a first industrial unit called Atlas Plastics and specializes in the
production of various plastic articles.
Five years later, Richbond SA joined this first unit and was met with the same success.
The vertical integration of Richbond SA enabled it to cover, from the 1980s, various activities ranging
from spinning to mattresses, including weaving and foam manufacturing.
Together, Atlas Plastics and Richbond SA formed the core of what will become the Richbond Group. The
latter then expanded its activity to cover several branches, including furniture, real estate and the
food industry.
As a result, the Richbond Group is now one of the flagship companies in the Moroccan economy, boasting a
consolidated turnover of 200M€.
The group employs currently over 3,000 employees, and creates an additional 5,400 indirect jobs, spread
over 11 production sites, including one in Côte d'Ivoire and one in Kenya.
Supported by an annual investment rate of 10M€, the Group also plans to transfer its entire
industrial activities to two new integrated parks in the region of Casablanca, for a total cost of 70
M€.
The aim is to optimize production costs in order to improve competitiveness and responsiveness in the
market.
