In 1965, Richbond became the first company to introduce polyurethane foam in North Africa. By 1971, the company played a role in democratizing spring mattresses by introducing a range affordable to the middle class. Later on, the group strengthened its expertise by manufacturing various types of polyurethane foam: Polyether, Visco-elastic, rigid, and more.
These products, among others, contributed to making the group the national leader in the local bedding market with a 60% market share. In parallel with these achievements, the group focuses on vertical integration.
Indeed, Richbond weaves its fabrics, spins its own threads, and produces mattress ticking fabrics and its own springs. This integration allows for cost optimization and control over industrial processes to offer high-quality products at competitive prices.
